No amount of graphic ads, bans, or other intrusive tactics by the city have been able to curb the number of Asians lighting up reports the New York Times. They represent the only demographic that hasn’t seen a marked decrease in smoking rates and experts say that’s because it’s still a widely accepted part of Asian culture, unlike many of their sissy counterparts who have all but abandoned their roots.
