Last week, Anonymous hackers modified the Boston police department’s website by replacing the homepage with the video for KRS-1 classic: “Sound of Da Police.” (Watch it above). In response, the cops made their very own YouTube clip. (Watch it below).

Too bad they missed the mark on this one. Had they called it Shit Boston Cops Say, it could of had legs.

• NYC’s Department of Education is meeting at Brooklyn Technical High School to determine whether it will close down 25 schools and Occupy Wall Street is asking supporters to “use the People’s Mic to reclaim our public meeting and block this fatal vote.” Fun starts at 5:30PM.
• For a movement that some say is dead, clinging to life, or waning, Occupy Wall Street’s rhetoric and ideas are thriving.
• Some asshole from Long Island says Newsday’s coverage of an Occupy Wall Street march and not a pro-life one is evidence of “liberal media bias.”
• Photojournalist and big brother watchdog Carlos Miller recovered footage from his camera of his arrest that Miami police had erased.
• Some one-percenters would prefer if everyone would just cool it with all the hate the rich talk, it’s forcing some of them to buy hybrids instead of M5s.
• Like NYU, Roosevelt University in Chicago is offering a class on Occupy Wall Street.

Just kidding. This Chinese dad who made his son, a teary 4-year-old, march around a snowy street wearing only underwear and sneakers in NYC last month is a cruel bastard. He’s a shitty cameraperson as well. And not too smart.

He sent the clip to friends in China, where even they were shocked and it went viral. Now, the entire Internet is mad, which is slightly surprising since it usually takes the abuse of a non-human life form to attract this level of outrage.

After a few fatalities and scores of injuries, New York City’s Department of Traffic has green-lighted a bunch of traffic improvements (PDF doc) designed to make crossing Delancey less like a game of Frogger (image left) and more like a safe stroll across the street (image right). Work begins in June, giving the local tabloids plenty of time to denounce the mini-pedestrian plazas, complete with fancy potted plants, that will be constructed to shorten the crosswalks.

The woman says it’s for the pain and suffering caused by the Administration for Children’s Services, an agency that placed her kids into foster care for being unfit, claiming she would leave them unattended for long periods of time and suffered from hallucinations. That might explain her reasoning for deciding to represent herself. Now no one’s going to take her seriously.

What happens when someone wears a Patriots jersey while surrounded by a rambunctious pack of Giants devotees celebrating their team’s big win? Nothing good.

Listen as the crowd, which appears to be at Penn Station, ridicules the young man and eventually escalate their chants to threats of physical violence.

According to the person who uploaded the footage to YouTube, he was actually a “Jets fan who lost a bet with his friends” and “had to wear a Tom Brady Jersey to the Giants parade.” Eventually a cop moves in and saved the guy, who was mere moments of being beat down and stripped of his clothes.

As predicted, yesterday’s Giants parade through Lower Manhattan was a lot like the one in 2008 and football fans in general: loud and obnoxious. Behold the video evidence.
