Brad Pitt Movie ‘The Big Short’ Ruined By a Bag of Doritos

The Big Short, the upcoming film adaptation of Michael Lewis’s bestselling book about the 2007 financial crisis, was filming in Soho on Wednesday at Houston and Broadway. Starring the Godly trifecta of Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Christian Bale, it’d be guaranteed to be a pleasurable viewing experience…unless you’re like us, and you’re a stickler for details.

In the movie, there will be a newsstand outfitted like it’s 2006. January 2006, to be exact. All the newspapers are dated correctly. The newsstand is lined with Crackerjacks. Blender Magazine is still in print. Kelly Clarkson is on a magazine cover. It’s obvious that someone painstakingly recreated this tiny set for a specific period of time.

Among these items is an impossible impostor, a piece of the future that has traveled back in time to haunt us. What is this object masquerading as a relic? A bag of Doritos branded by the Avengers: Age of Ultron. Thor wields his mighty, futuristic hammer.

How could this happen? According to a prop master in the film industry, the oversight lies with the film’s set decorator. But maybe it could not be helped; perhaps this individual, whoever he or she may be, is simply not worthy of moving Thor’s Doritos.
