How To Build A Time Machine, Slowly

May 7, 2014 | Marina Galperina

Rob Noisi has been building a time machine for a very long time, obsessively filing out the flourishes in this faux-Victorian construction. Physicist and author Ronald Mallett has been researching the mechanics and mathematics of time travel for a very long time. These are the subjects of Jay Cheel’s new documentary How To Build A Time Machine.

The trailer is tempered and beautiful, but if it’s anything like his doc Beauty Day about Ontario’s community access daredevil Cap’n Video, it’s going to get strange. According to Twitch, it’s a mix of “Errol Morris, John Carpenter, Werner Herzog and Mario Bava.” The film is projected to be released later this year.
