Unlike other well documented IHOPs on YouTube, the newly opened East Village location may not become the site of many a drunken brawl. The restaurant is already taking precautions to make sure that no teeth go flying into somebody’s pancakes — they’ve hired a security guard.
Similar to a club bouncer, this off-duty cop will work the hellacious 11PM to 7AM shift. The Post quips “With the arrival of the pancake shop yesterday as an antidote for the after-midnight munchies, some longtime residents fear the trendy neighborhood will turn Rooty Tooty Fresh ’N Fruity.” Whatever that means.
