Twenty nine-year old Jarrod Shanahan has turned himself in to police for the assault of two officers on the Brooklyn Bridge, bringing the number of arrests for the incident up to five. Police say there are six suspects in total.

The incident occurred on December 13, when a group of protesters — separated from the organized march for Eric Garner that took place in Manhattan earlier that day — flooded the bridge. When police arrested demonstrator Eric Linsker, a CUNY professor who was reportedly attempting to throw a garbage can from the bridge, several demonstrators intervened. Cops allege that the protestors beat them, while setting Linsker free.

Shanahan now faces “two counts of assault on a police officer and charges of resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and rioting.”
