Fine Art: A War Criminal’s Currency?

A photograph of a $1.3 million Modigliani painting was recently discovered at Serbian war criminal Goran Hadžić’s friend’s house. Hadžić is wanted for war crimes, crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and genocide, and, presumably, plans to survive in hiding by hustling in on the art market. Now that it’s in the news, they can’t snag Hadžić in an art auctions stakeout.
