IKEA Anti-Feminist Photoshop
Controversy Gets Meme’d

IKEA started a wave of outrage after they photoshoped women out of their Saudi-Arabian catalog earlier this week. Maybe it’s a little more sleek than the “extra sleeves” strategy? No amount of PR and apologies was going to let this one blow over easy. Enter new photo meme, appropriately titled I(KEA) Got 99 Problems but a B**CH Aint One!

The blog mocks the ad by replacing women in famous photographs with the all-so-minimalist IKEA furniture. We’re not sure how much of the public reaction is rooted in feminist ideals or pandering to a BILLY bookcase-philliac fetish. (Images: Petapixel.com)
