“Listen In“ is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.
The Toronto industrial punk band Odonis Odonis walks a fine line between melodic accessibility and grinding noise (see their excellent Hieronymus Bosch-referencing clip “Order in the Court” for evidence of the latter). Fittingly, their “Listen In” playlist is split on a similar seam: half droney, bassy electronic music, half guitar-bass-drums rock. Hard Boiled Soft Boiled, the band’s second album, arrives today via Buzz Records.
