Listen In: Woods Made You a Playlist

January 28, 2014 | Andy Cush

Listen In“ is a weekly feature in which we ask musicians to curate a mixtape-length YouTube playlist of songs they’re currently digging.

This week’s “Listen In” comes from the Brooklyn psych/folk/rock Woods, who compiled a playlist heavy on live cuts and television appearances. Highlights: garage rock legends The Seeds playing “Pushin’ Too Hard” on a 1968 episode of the sitcom The Mothers In Law, R. Stevie Moore singing “I Like to Stay Home,” The Butthole Surfers’ Gibby Haynes ranting in an interview about worms and Chinese men projecting movies from their penises. Click the big play button above to hear the whole playlist or scroll down to see and hear individual tracks.

With Light And With LoveWoods’ latest album, arrives April 15 via Woodsist.
