bottleZagat’s latest nightlife survey offers some unsurprising insight into how New Yorkers are coping with the recession: they’re not going out as much and likely drowning their sorrows at home. Most of the 6,000 New Yorkers surveyed claimed to cut their nightlife habits by going out and spending less at cheaper bars and clubs. The survey also pegged the Lower East Side and Meatpacking District as not only the hottes, but also the most over-hyped nightlife neighborhoods, so take that as you like.
