Banksy's Nick Walker's 'Thunder' Wall In NYC
The rumor is true. The elusive self-dubbed "art terrorist" Banksy Nick Walker rolled into NYC and decorated the Sullivan St. facing wall of restaurant Thunder Jackson located on Bleeker in the West Village last night. In addition to three characters of a man walking with an umbrella, he also added a nice drippy "Vandal" and finished it off with his signature "B"NW at the bottom. A waitress from Jackson's confirmed that it was indeed Banksy, mentioning that he's friends with one of the guys involved with the bar. She also noted that he was originally scheduled to paint the wall on Wednesday night but someone stole a bunch of his supplies. More photos and some physical evidence after the jump.
UPDATE: It's a Nick Walker piece, but why is he going around telling people he's Banksy? Something fishy is going on.

It is Nick Walker. He has a series called Vandal, and this piece is a mirror to some of his canvas and print work

NOT BANKSY! its Walker... and a bit lazy IMO. Like B says it has the vandal tag.. which is Walker. If it was Banksy it would be raining bombs, life size and the feet would be rubbish... and someone would have pealed it and stuck in ebay by now ;)

Nick walkoff...what a lovely person you must be.
The name you have given for Banksy is incorrect but you are right about 1 thing. He is certainly NOT Nick Walker. I met NW at his show in LA - what a lovely guy. He paints his passion in a sophisticated way and in no way is he like Banksy. I think the world's gone mad. There's so much misery around why paint about it? I'd rather be looking at a Walker butterfly than pictures of kids in flak jackets any day. But hey - don't buy into MacDonalds - buy into brand Banksy! Clever publicist hey! Maybe if you (Nick Walkoff) looked at more beautiful pictures you wouldn't be calling people names!
