Dell Launches Art House Series

Uncool computer maker, Dell, is hoping that Mike Ming's graffiti-inspired tattoo designs adorning their Inspiron 1525 line of laptops can help hip up their brand a little. The Brooklyn based artist created two pieces: "Bunch O Surfers" and "Sea Sky," to help launch their 'Special Art Edition' series that will feature designs by various "emerging artists"—who else? Ming describes the inspiration—besides the money—for creating the work, “I wanted to create a sense of energy, playfulness, sophistication and psychedelic momentum when I started this." The laptops are selling for $699 and $799 depending on what's under the hood. See some bonus shots and the the artist's strange video bio after the jump.
