Vintage May Day Parade
Today is May Day or as some call it International Worker's Day. For most New Yorkers it means mostly nothing, but for the car driving dwellers it's a bonus: alternate side of the street parking rules are suspended. For communists, labor party groups, and vegans though it's protest time. Above is a photo from a 1948 May Day Parade rally in Manhattan.
