Brits Welcome Bush With Protests

British protesters have been quite the dedicated bunch this year. From the Olympic torch melee to May Day demonstrations and anti-Scientology rallies, the blokes across the Atlantic are certainly out in force causing a ruckus, including this past weekend during President Bush's farewell tour of London. Approximately 2,500 demonstrators assembled in Parliament Square. A total of 25 people were arrested (3 charged), for numerous "offences," and things got pretty heated when the crowds tried to get past a blockade of neon jacketed, club waiving Bobbies guarding any path towards Downing Street—Prime Minister Gordon Brown's residence and meeting spot with President Bush.
