NYC Sikhs Sick of People Confusing Them With Arabs
Just because they wear turbans and are brown skinned, doesn't mean they're Arab or Muslim. After numerous recent incidents, as well as attacks dating back to post-9/11, the Sikh community is getting sick of bad treatment by the community, specifically in the city's schools. Apparently, Islam-fearing, culture-starved students are so stupid they can't even tell the difference between to the two highly distinct ethnic groups. |CBS|

Sucks to be a towelhead. First this, now they have to deal with the Turban Effect:
Research volunteers played a computer game that showed apartment balconies on which different figures appeared, some wearing Muslim-style turbans or hijabs and others bare-headed. They were told to shoot at the targets carrying guns and spare those who were unarmed, with points awarded accordingly.
People were much more likely to shoot Muslim-looking characters -- men or women -- even if they were carrying an innocent item instead of a weapon, the researchers found.
