The British Are Buzzing, the British Are Buzzing
Although the city isn't so keen on letting U.S. nuclear warships dock during Fleet Week, tonight the British RAF will be allowed to pollute the airspace and obscure our beloved skyline with their acrobatic planes. The Red Arrows—basically the UK equivalent of our Blue Angels—are putting on "their first-ever aerial display" in NYC including a disrespectful Top Gun-like flyby of Lady Liberty herself at precisely 6:58PM. It should come as no surprise that outcast borough Staten Island is responsible for hosting the event.
