HEY, I mean, YO Kool-Aid!
No sign of the lovable, wall-destroying fat pitcher pitch man in this new old skool flava print campaign for sugar-free Kool Aid, via Ogilvy & Mather New York. Talking about Kareem Black, the NYC lenser who shot this stuff, O&M art director Royal Jackson says "If you have a photographer who doesn't get nuance—we feel this campaign is full of details—it just falls flat." OK ad man, let's talk about one particular detail from this "authentic" ad: I played a lot of playground roundball during the early days of Hip Hop, and I got one thing to say: If that pretty boy, with them shoes and those hand-model smooth hands, is a Baller, well then I've been shot nine times. More executions after the jump.

What? Jamel Shabazz was too busy to answer Mr. Jackson's call.
