Rehabbed Falcons Released In New York City

Urban bird saving naturalist blogger, Yojimbot, who once rescued a Peregrine falcon from imminent death under the Broadway Bridge, assisted in the release of rehabilitated kestrel fledglings this past weekend. After releasing about a dozen of the falcon family of birds in Central Park, the team headed up to Van Cortland park in the Bronx to release the rest. While there, he encountered some Park Rangers that were called to the scene to assist in an unrelated fowl incident: "Someone had apparently tried (and failed) to sacrifice a chicken and they were trying to capture it," writes Yojimbot.
