Miru Kim Probes New York City's Underbelly Nude
Miru Kim, the naked urban exploring photographer, is having an exhibition tomorrow night at the Gestarc Gallery in Red Hook. Continuing her Naked City Spleen series, the show will feature the photographer's amazingly stunning, mostly underground, nude photos of herself as she explores abandoned, off limit, and generally not safe locations around the city (the image above is from the "now-demolished sugar refinery in Red Hook"). If you can't make it tomorrow, there's plenty of time to see Kim's bare ass alongside cool ruins, with the show running till August 10. |Gothamist|

I will give her credit for using whatever means available to draw attention to her art. I would like to meet her and see if she retains an accent from her childhood spent in Korea. I wonder if she has any photos of herself in Pratt's unique powerhouse? Also wouldn't mind seeing Kim's bare ass up close, even if only in photos. Perhaps I will make the trip into this Gestarc Gallery in Red Hook.
