This is an ad (click to enlarge) PETA claims they'll be running in the Portage Daily Graphic in Manitoba. They are running it to "make people rethink the proposition that it is, rightly so, a criminal act to kill and eat our own kind but that it's "OK" to kill every other species but our own and eat them." Yes, that's what they wrote. Now PETA is shameless when it comes to self-promotion, so I'll believe they're placing this ad in that paper—or in any paper—when I see a reprint. Usually their stunts, even the sexist ones, are at worst comical. But this is just disgusting. And do they really believe that such a repugnant act of exploitation will win over a single meat eater?

I'm not the least bit surprised that they would sink that low.

No way in hell would the newspaper print that ad, no matter what PETA intends.

PETA? These are the same people who murder innocent pets. I find it really remarkable that people don't realize PETA aren't animal lovers at all - they seem to hate animals and try their hardest to keep humans separate from them in every way.

PETA are a bunch of manic asswipes. They just prove man needs meat for the brain to function properly.

Christ. And I'm a vegetarian/long time animal lib advocate, too. But I'm pretty sick of PETA's lame tactics. They replace their lack of effective and comprehensive activism with shock and sensation.
Although their recent commercial with the NBA player being a vegetarian was pretty dope.
