ANIMAL stopped by Afropunk Festival’s Battle for the Streets skate competition this weekend and took the opportunity to ask a few participants for their experiences as “minority” skaters, specifically with the NYPD’s controversial stop-and-frisk policy. “It’s just a tactic for the NYPD to touch my balls and stuff. It’s not cool,” skater Leo Heinert told us. Aside from the politics and jokes about frisky policemen, there’s also some seriously dope skating on display here.
