According to a blurb in an online newsletter by a firm that sells the rights to dead (and living) artist’s work, cool-guy streetwear brand Supreme is planing to release a line of Basquiat apparel. Artestar, an “international brand licensing and consulting company” that counts the Basquiat estate among its clients, reports that: “Urban clothing brand Supreme is creating a collection of t-shirts, sweatshirts, button-downs and hats featuring the artwork of Jean-Michel Basquiat for Spring/Summer 2013.” We can’t wait! They will be joining the ranks of Reebok, Valentino, Uniqlo, and others who have also released products posthumously, featuring the pop artist’s imagery. (Photo: mauidw/Flickr)
