The nominees for next year’s Grammy awards, to be held on Jan. 31st, were announced last night, with Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift combining for 23 total nominations. Kanye West also scored six nominations, setting the stage for a possible Beyonce/Kanye/Taylor Swift “Yo Taylor, imma let you finish, but…” redux. |LA Times|

Meet Alexsandra Wright. She’s the 38-year-old woman who claims to have been impregnated by Beyoncé’s father, Matthew Knowles and has filed a paternity suit against him, according to TMZ. But what else do we know about her? She apparently works in the entertainment/marketing industry, is a former Seattle Seahawks dancer and strangely enough, happens to be the mother of Tone LÅc’s teenage son. A crazed TV cameraman attacked Jay-Z and Beyonce’s bodyguard with a tripod while the couple vacationed in Croatia. Since they’re all mostly crazy over there, the news outlets are reporting that cool headed Hova was physically involved in the ruckus, despite photos and videos that prove to the contrary. Currently in Paris promoting the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Lenny Kravitz received some fan mail from French President Sarkozy, who just happens to be married to model Carla Bruni, a “long-time acquaintance” of Kravitz. That was “back in the day” though. Now he’s got his arms around model Carmen Kaas on the latest cover of Russian Vogue, where he not only gets in front of the camera, but behind it to take casual portraits of fellow musicians like Jay-Z, Beyonce, Joss Stone and Lionel Ritchie.
