Jay-Z’s Spawn Isn’t the Youngest To Make the Billboard Charts

Last weekend, Jay-Z celebrated the birth of his by supposedly recording her baby sounds and mixing them into the end a song he dedicated to her. Blue Ivy Carter was given a credit on the “Glory” track and the self-serving people at Billboard are now crowning the 5-day-old as the youngest person to ever make the chart.

Jay-Z Already Exploiting His Daughter

After reportedly shelling out over a million dollars to turn a wing of Lennox Hill Hospital into a VIP room of sorts, Jay Z and Beyoncé scheduled the birth of their daughter for Saturday night, giving the rap mogul his first legitimate child and material for a new song, which has just been released. It’s called “Glory,” the track, not the baby, and is actually a very touching tribute, complete with gossip ready verses about miscarriages.

The inevitable has happened and Lil Wayne’s newest album Tha Carter IV has finally leaked. Here’s a link to a download of a good copy of the album’s deluxe version (you’re welcome). Most of the album is anti-chorus cuts featuring a lot of hashtag-rap and metaphors that we’ve heard before countless times.

Andre 3000 and Tech N9ne swoop in for a show-stopping “Interlude” that Wayne sits out for good reason. Back in July, Weezy even said it himself: “I ain’t saying I’m the best no more, because these niggas is too good these days. I got old.”

But the most exciting part of Tha Carter IV is when Wayne fires shots towards hip hop’s first couple Jay-Z and Beyonce. On the track entitled, “It’s Good,” he says: “Talkin”bout baby money, I got your baby money/Kidnap your bitch, Get that ‘how much you love your lady?’ money.” He’s responding to Hovs’s diss on this year’s “H.A.M.”: “Really you got baby money…You ain’t got my lady’s money.” Beyonce stan biases aside, that’s a pretty great Wayne line that shows the “old” still has some life in him and that he’s still capable of stirring up some controversy to help sell CDs. Meanwhile, Jadakiss, who also appears on the song weighed in on the controversy via Twitter: “#leavemeoutofit.”

A few years ago it was much cooler to perform for brutal dictators, but with Libya undergoing the whole revolution thing and the regime mercilessly killing its people, some pop stars are rethinking the large sums of money they were given by the Gaddafi family to perform at various private parties. Singer Nelly Furtado stepped up and on Twitter announced she’s donating the million dollars she was paid for a 45 minute performance in 2007 to charity. So who’s next, Beyonce, Mariah Carey or Usher?

After having a power breakfast at Gracie Mansion with Mayor Bloomberg and NJ Nets majority owner Mikhail Prokhorov on Wednesday, Jay-Z, jetted to D.C. to attend last night’s state dinner at the White House with wifey Beyonce, who performed, in honor of Mexican president Felipe Calderon.

MTV Bans Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ (Is A Rumor)

It’s not like anyone watches MTV for the videos anyway—they did adjust their logo for that very reason—but the network has gone ahead and banned Lady Gaga’s new lesbian-prison-sex laced “Telephone” video anyway. Update: MTV didn’t ban, see commenter, CNN misreported!

You can’t blame the network for not wanting to upset the moral fiber of their audience. The video, which dropped Thursday, has only attracted a little over 14,400,000 views and rising, how will she ever get it seen now? In other Gaga news, she also managed to piss of a lot of puritans in New Zealand when she performed wearing a bloody nun’s outfit.
