While I kinda agree with the “big tobacco” companies and don’t think NYC’s bodegas and delis should be required to display such big anti-smoking posters for 1st amendment reasons, it’s the candy companies that should be pissed. With cigarettes tucked safely behind the counters, the gross-looking posters are almost always looming over the candy section. Luckily, those products don’t cause tooth decay or create any other help problems like smoking does.

Swedish Fish are one of most popular confections in the city’s bodegas, easily outranking Red Hots, Boston Baked Beans, and those gross orange colored peanut looking things. It’s no wonder they’ve got their own branded truck to keep supplies fresh. Spotted on Flushing Ave (right off Broadway), Bushwick.
