Continuing the theme of their Cut Out and Fade Out project, UK street art duo Miss Bugs brings nippled lady-monster collages and colorful silkscreens to their show at the Brookynite Gallery, opening this weekend. Sadly, the Brooklynite Gallery’s April 30th “Eurotrash” show is postponed indefinitely. M-City, Dolk and their art won’t be here on time. Stupid volcanoes. UPDATE: New opening date is May 8th.

Good thing half the Brooklynite Gallery‘s space is outdoors. For their upcoming “Eurotrash” show, Poland’s legendary street artist M-CITY will serve up a signature industrial-themed mural. DOLK will provide the mostly monochromatic story-telling stencils, promising to be extra cynical. M-City and Gaia Get Busy in Bed Stuy

Street artist M-City followed up his recent wall painting in Long Island City, putting up a legal mural with Gaia in Bed Stuy. The duo finished stenciling and pasting up their collaborative collage over the last couple days in spite of frigid temperatures. Organized by Brooklynite Gallery and situated down the street, the finished work features some of the artists’ signature styles: bold buildings, birds and gears.

Artists Think Inside the Box at Brooklynite Gallery

Inspired by the challenge of earning cash in this economic crisis, Brooklynite Gallery is opening an exhibition inspired by “the world’s simplest way to make a living,” shining shoes. “Go Get Your Shinebox” brings together more than a hundred artists, including Skewville, Ben Frost, Miss Bugs, Aiko and Broken Crow, showcasing their cubic works, a “survival box” for getting by. The show opens November 21st and is on view through December 19th at 334 Malcolm X Boulevard.
