Welcome to Arizona! The guy on the left is Pastor Steven Anderson and he’s praying for the death of President Obama. But don’t be fooled, he’s got a soft side, admitting it would be best if the country’s first black president died like Senator Kennedy and not his assassinated brothers, “I don’t want him to be a martyr, we don’t need another holiday. I’d like to see him die, like Ted Kennedy, of brain cancer.” In mid-August he delivered this “Why I Hate Back Obama” sermon. The guy on the right is Christopher Broughton, a parishioner of Anderson’s who recently carried an AR-15 outside of the Phoenix Convention Center while the president gave a speech on health care. Like his pastor, the man hopes that Jesus will snuff out Obama himself: “I don’t care how God does it, I’m not going into further detail than that. It would be better now than later.” |TPM|
