Answers In Genesis, the official blog behind Kentucky’s $150 million creationist theme park The Ark Encounter has confirmed: unicorns and dinosaurs are a go. Who knew believing in the Bible literally is this fun?

The blog would like to point out that they’re called “dragons of the land” created on Day Six, not be confused with dinosaurs.

And as for unicorns:

The biblical unicorn was a real animal, not an imaginary creature… The absence of a unicorn in the modern world should not cause us to doubt its past existence… To think of the biblical unicorn as a fantasy animal is to demean God’s Word, which is true in every detail.

And so, there goes $40 million in Kentucky governor-approved tax breaks. Think upon that next time public funding of an art institution is threatened over a few seconds of “offensive” imagery because it makes Glenn Beck sad on Christmas.

Well not everything, but a major piece to the puzzle: their size. In a crushing blow to the collective conscious and the imagination of children everywhere, scientists announced that dinosaurs probably weren’t as big as once believed. They cite the Apatosaurus louisae—one of the largest dinosaurs and coolest attractions at the Museum of Natural History—as an example. According to new research, it likely only weighed 18 metric tons instead of 38 making it about as heavy as one of these Caterpillar trucks. |ScienceDaily|

A fierce looking Tyrannosaurid skull (pictured) sold for $206,000 while a more peaceful and popular Triceratops head sold for $242,000. The auction house refused to identify the buyers, but did hint that the dinosaurs were likely bought as “home decorations.”
