A Queens police officer accused of blatantly stealing donuts and other snacks from a Rockaway Dunkin’ Donuts has been slapped with unknown departmental charges. Sgt. Eric Turetsky has also been transferred to the 104th precinct, which fortunately for him as no absence of his favorite fried dough franchise. |NYP|
A Queens police officer is under investigation by the NYPD for treating a Dunkin’ Donuts in the Rockaways like a free buffet. Sgt. Eric Turetsky took coffee, doughnuts, and was even brazen enough to walk behind the counter “to make himself sandwiches and cram his face full of crullers.” |NYP|
America might run on Dunkin’, just as long as the citizenry washes down that Sugar Raised Donut with a paid beverage. Don’t expect an “empty cup,” “ice water,” “cup of ice,” or any variation thereof as noted by this sign at the donut chain on Graham Avenue in East Williamsburg Bushwick. With nicer weather ahead this is going to spell trouble for neighborhood papis trying to get that midday fiesta drink on—looks like they are gonna have to hit the bodegas for their liquor imbibing accoutrements.
