More proof that Nicolas Cage is some sort of a time traveling/immortal creature has recently surfaced via an eBay auction for a vintage photograph from 1870 Tennessee, entitled “Nicolas Cage is a Vampire.” Read more »
You have ten hours to purchase one of the only surviving cars used for the film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas from eBay, if you’re willing to drive it home from Kansas City (1200+ miles to NYC). It may be dented up and needs fresh wheels, but the “superior machine” is infused with the essence of… pretend Bat Country driving. Read more »
There’s only a few hours left to bid on Videograf’s collection of graffiti photos that weighs in at 25 pounds. But how many photos is that? Based on our estimates, it works out to about 124 per pound or around 3100 total. The current bid is $1,975 and isn’t likely to go up much more than that. Who wants in on this vandalism yard sale? UPDATE: Sold for $2,325!
According to the current bid on eBay, $1,825, but there’s still six days to go. The seller, who is also the founder of legendary graffiti video series Videograf, says the photographs of artful vandalism from the last few decades are too numerous to count, so he weighed them out instead: There’s a total of 25 pounds. So what kind of graffiti photos are we talking about here? Read more »
Is there really only one eBay seller with an “actual” patterned piece of Shepard Fairey’s destroyed Bowery Mural and only one bidder (so far) willing to pay money for it? There must be more bits of it out there, ’cause there sure were plenty of holes in it. Now’s the time to cash in, scavengers.

With 1 day to go, the eBay auction for a piece of paper with Banksy’s alleged “true” name reached $999,999 and just got pulled this morning. There were seven bidders with entirely too much faith in a vague reference to tax records and entirely too much money to invest into satisfying their curiosity. Or… this was all a prank. Ha. Ha ha. If you like your Marina Abramović desserts a little more intimate, you can bid for her chocolate lips on eBay. Meanwhile, Banksy’s “Identity” eBay sale still has 0 bids.
Some weasel attempted to sell the “true identity of Banksy” on eBay. He was going to “tell you his name” for a minimum bid of $3,000 with a $25,000 Buy It Now option (and free shipping!). The posting is gone now, but for a second there, eBay went from selling hunks of Banksy walls to hunks of Banksy bullshit. UPDATE: It’s up again. Read more »
COST’s Newspaper Box Sells for Over $4,000

After just 14 bids, someone on eBay sold, what appears to be, the COST customized newspaper box for Showpaper that was purposefully stolen off of Second Avenue about two weeks ago. And did so for $4,200. Wow! Strangely, the seller installed some cheapy IKEA lamp in it and claims to have “purchased this item” from someone else. Read more »
