Gothamist is right, this short film is “weird.” It kind of reminds me of that movie Pi, but that could just be due to it also having a mathematical theme, NYC setting, and plenty of freakish cutaways. I’m looking forward to your reviews below.

Now in its third installment, the Jackasses needed a new gimmick and with this 3D trend working wonders for films like Avatar and Clash of the Titans, they’re assuming it’ll do the same for their cinematic tomfoolery. Hopefully, they use it sparingly during the grosser frat boy antics and save most of the screen-popping technology for their dare-deviling.

If you’re a daily reader of this here website, you may have noticed a certain infatuation we have with the Kick-Ass movie. But now that it’s set to open in theaters everywhere on Friday, this will be the last trailer we post, promise.

There’s only eight days to go till the release of Kick-Ass and admittedly, my obsession has clearly taken hold. After recently taking a look at the film’s extra long trailer and loving it, here’s an ultra short one. It’s only 15 seconds long, but they sure make every bloody moment count!

With the Internets buzzing about Tom Six’s ridiculous body-horror The Human Centipede [First Sequence] for months, a real trailer was just unleashed. And it delivers exactly what it promises, as anatomically improbable as it may be: surgically-sculpted Siamese triplets with a single digestive system. Ew.

The sitch/stitch: A surgeon renowned for separating Siamese twins wants to reverse the procedure. After his conjoined rottweiler triplet experiment croaks, humans seem like the next logical step.

One thing learned from the trailer that hasn’t already been revealed by a series of money shots of the creature via circulated film stills [below], the two/thirds of the human centipede are of the party girl variety. It’s their annoying yammering that’s muffled with the surgical butt-mouth merger. Oh well?

Lovingly described as David Cronenberg meets Takashi Miike, Tom Six’s sick flick will be released in the summer by IFC. While horror movies have taught us that tourism is generally a bad idea, it’s always worse in Germany. |TwitchFilm|

The poor horses forced to pull carriages and schlep mostly tourists around the loop in Central Park are the subject of a documentary called Blinders. It delves into the evils inherent in horse-drawn carriages and the increasing public debate the gimmicky industry is causing. In 2006 there was at three dramatic accidents that received widespread media exposure and focused some attention on the fading tradition. The film plans to give viewers the real behind the scenes look “through original footage taken with hidden cameras and interviews with carriage drivers, veterinarians, accident witnesses, animal rights activists, politicians, tourists, residents who live near the horses and people who have rescued NYC carriage horses from slaughter.” It will be screened in the city on March 20th as well as other cities. It’s hard to believe that a Tarantino script like this can somehow turn into the crappy trailer above. The Inglourious Basterds screenplay looked like it had a lot of potential and the makings of a great movie. Well after viewing the trailer maybe not. You would think that Harvey Weinstein would have learned after the dismal failure that was Grindhouse, but it’s not entirely his fault, Brad Pitt’s ridiculously unconvincing Southern accent should certainly take a big chunk of the blame when this thing bombs.
