With 11 locomotives, 60 gondola cars, and approximately 269 miles of track, the New York and Atlantic Railway is a relatively small freight train operation that services Long Island and New York City. The short line railroad was formed in 1997 when the LIRR decided to get out of the freight business and sold it off, while agreeing to lease the tracks. Citynoise easily snuck onto some of NY&A’s property while bike riding through Bushwick and snapped some photos of the rather obscure railroad that provides plenty of rolling canvasses for graffiti writers. |Citynoise|

Nothing delights us more then recieving brand spanking new flicks of freight trains painted by the likes of EZO, NAVY, and ZEPHYR. Ever since the subways were buffed and taken out of service the minute aerosol hit their surfaces, allot of ‘writers’ took to the freight trains to satisfy their itch. Since we don’t want to blow up spots, let’s just say these were done in the local tri-state area. Its always been said that actions (and photos) speak louder then words so we present some of the trio’s most recent destruction after the jump.
