Rodell Vereen, the South Carolina man made famous in June when he was arrested for the second time for boning a horse named “Sugar,” was sentenced to three years in prison last night on “buggery” charges. In defense of Vereen I think the horse’s owner bears some responsibility here…I mean, if you’re going to name a horse Sugar, you have to expect that it’s going to be a bit promiscuous, no? The same applies to anyone who names their daughter “Crystal” or “Candy.” There are life consequences that come with the names you give your children and horses, okay people! |USA Today|

Remember that scene near the end of Silence of the Lambs, the one where a dong-tucked-between-his-legs Buffalo Bill dances around and applies make-up as he readies himself for another slaughter? Well, the song used during that scene is “Goodbye Horses” by Q Lazzarus, and ever since I saw that film, just hearing it kind of creeps me the hell out. So I figured that since it’s Halloween Eve and the illegalization of horse-fucking is in the news, it’d be a perfect song to post to wrap up the day.

Seriously, don’t listen to this song when you’re home alone and it’s dark outside, because it’ll scare the shit out of you.

Two years ago, yes, just TWO YEARS AGO, the Tennessee state legislature passed a law making it illegal for residents of that state to bone animals. Since that time prosecutors across the state have been hesitant to enforce the law, lest too many of their friends and relatives get locked up I’m assuming. However, it’s become apparent that horse-fucking is so out of control there that the state is finally going to begin enforcing the law. Or something. |USA Today|
