In their sixth segment capturing the swarm of artists which have contributed to the revitalization of Miami’s Wynwood Walls, Here Comes The Neighborhood follows two founding members of NY based IRAK crew, EARSNOT and NEMEL.

A far cry from some of the more public-friendly walls done by their fellow artists, the two friends are strictly about graffiti, good hand styles, and catching tags – no colorful character murals or mixed media ‘street art’ here.

In fact, they believe that “the tag is the buttery essence of graffiti because…because if you don’t know how to tag you’re worthless,” a point I’m sure most avid bombers would agree with. Ultimately, they compare graffiti to a sort of necessary compulsion – kind of like their penchant for five-finger discounts, just much more creatively productive. See past episodes here.

TWIST and crew’s tag-filled masterpiece on Houston Street has has officially been bombed, hard! In photos posted on flickr earlier today, one brave young soul is seen painting a monster SACE tribute, in the middle of the goddamn day and presumably without permission using a fire extinguisher, while cameras snapped away. UPDATE: Semi-legal.

Dude even rolled out a plastic tarp so as not to mess up the sidewalk and offer one prop of credibility in addition to the painter’s jumpsuit. Here’s what the final product looks like:

According to multiple sources, Downtown legend Dash Snow has died after overdosing on heroin. He was 27-years-old. More info when available. Our condolences to the entire IRAK family. Update: His grandmother confirmed the sad news.
