It’s not like anyone watches MTV for the videos anyway—they did adjust their logo for that very reason—but the network has gone ahead and banned Lady Gaga’s new lesbian-prison-sex laced “Telephone” video anyway. Update: MTV didn’t ban, see commenter, CNN misreported! Read more »
MTV, finally coming to terms with what many have been saying for years, is redesigning its logo to reflect that the network is more of a reality show-driven one than a music driven one. The new logo is devoid of the term “music television” and will feature the images of its various reality stars inside of the familiar giant “M.” Can’t wait for the version featuring the Jersey Shore cast. |Daily News|
Tonight, at 10pm Eastern time, MTV will air the last episode of Jersey Shore, the show we knew would be the greatest television show in the history of the universe the minute we all saw the trailer. And we will never be the same. Read more »
If you watch Jersey Shore, and really, all of us do, you know that MTV’s been promoting an upcoming episode in which the shitteous little guido potato known as Snooki gets punched squarely in the face by some random meathead, who turned out to be a high school teacher in Queens. Well, it looks as though MTV has caved to public outrage, because they’re pulling the scene. Read more »
Um, you probably don’t need to be told this, but MTV’s guido reality show, Jersey Shore, the show destined to be the greatest television show in the history of the universe, premieres tonight at 10pm. The best reality shows are always the ones with the most casual sex and petty violence, so, needless to say, this one should be amazing.

After the jump, the video that networks don’t want you to see, plus it’s equally confusing cliff notes. Read more »
Choire Sicha weighed in on the Kanye West – Taylor Swift controversy at the VMA awards by creating more, arguing that it was uptight America and the producer’s fault, not the rapper’s: “At least Kanye started his tiny tirade by telling Swift “I’m going to let you finish.” MTV are the ones who actually didn’t.” |TheDailyBeast|
MusicTeleVision, a company that apparently has something to do with music, produced an in-house ad that makes fun of your ugly-ass socks, iStealer. And, if you don’t mind, they’d like you to wear pantyhose on your head whilst you listen to your pilfered tunes to remind you that what you’re doing is just as bad as sticking a piece against Kanye’s temple and going through his pockets. Also? And more importantly? MTV execs’ pockets! But, pleaz, keep watching TRL…and make your bed, gangsta! Cool lamp. Don’t steal!
