That incredible Craigslist casting call for a reality TV of Occupy Wall Street was real, as confirmed by the New York Times’ Brian Stelter. MTV’s True Life: I’m Occupying Wall Street premieres November 5th.

Why oh why? Because OWS is plenty ripe for reality TV take-over: “hot chicks,” drama, villains, violence, celeb cameos, freaks, a commune/movement blooming out from the middle of a metropolis attracting lots of spirited people and horrible fame-whores… Yeah, it was pretty much unavoidable and a clusterfuck of exploitation it surely shall be. MTV, a cable network responsible for creating brain-numbing programs that damage more kids than pot ever could, is looking for young people, 15-28, who can’t control their urge for blunts and bong hits. “Are you addicted to marijuana,” teases the production company tasked with casting these rare anomalies. Sensing how difficult it might be to actually find these potential “True Life” candidates, abusers of so called “synthetic marijuana” can apply too, clearly making them the most pathetic, albeit entertaining, minority ever.

Here’s a 5 min bit of Fight For Your Right Revisited which premiered last night and its fisted to the brim with celeb cameos, even more slow-mo glass breaking, superfluous Sevigny, something about restauranting with Ted Danson, smoke clouds and cowbell.

Of course not. No one can, it’s M-T-V. But they can make a lot of money trying, so hats off to the Vice crew for their new ‘Guide To Everything‘ show which will premiere on the network December 6 at 11pm. Hopefully it includes a segment on how to burn sold out artwork.

After holding some silly employment contest, the network that is contributing to the downfall of America announced a winner. Gabi Gregg will be MTV’s first “Twitter Jockey” or TJ, although she’ll also be responsible for updating their Facebook and blogs, essentially making her a social media editor, but I guess that’s not as catchy.

Long before MTV flooded the airwaves with brain-killing tween programming, the network has been making America dumb. Wednesday is the most useless day of the week. So, here’s a useless new video promoting MTV Belgium’s “new breed of music.” It features rabbits fucking wearing t-shirts with music stars names on them. It is truly idiotic, so fitting for the channel. But the various “collaborations” are worth noting.

You have to watch the video a couple of times to catch the couplings. The action gets started with Axl Rose kissing Taylor Swift (ew!). Then, the all-out orgy, being monitored by a “scientist”, develops. My favorite is (dead) Miles Davis eating Christina Aguilera’s cottontail. Jack Johnson jackhammers a jackrabbit Madonna, and Dizzee Rascal is spotted dogging bunny Mariah Carey. Dead fat Elvis rabbit is seen piling on. Iggy Pop’s shirt is of course hanging from the chandelier. Video is by Antwerp agency Duval Guillaume, who last week brought us the least satisfying blowjob imaginable. |Video: adme.ru|

MTV Bans Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ (Is A Rumor)

It’s not like anyone watches MTV for the videos anyway—they did adjust their logo for that very reason—but the network has gone ahead and banned Lady Gaga’s new lesbian-prison-sex laced “Telephone” video anyway. Update: MTV didn’t ban, see commenter, CNN misreported!

You can’t blame the network for not wanting to upset the moral fiber of their audience. The video, which dropped Thursday, has only attracted a little over 14,400,000 views and rising, how will she ever get it seen now? In other Gaga news, she also managed to piss of a lot of puritans in New Zealand when she performed wearing a bloody nun’s outfit.

MTV Finally Acknowledges That It’s No Longer a Music Network

MTV, finally coming to terms with what many have been saying for years, is redesigning its logo to reflect that the network is more of a reality show-driven one than a music driven one. The new logo is devoid of the term “music television” and will feature the images of its various reality stars inside of the familiar giant “M.” Can’t wait for the version featuring the Jersey Shore cast. |Daily News|
