These are the two covers of Wallpaper* magazine that subscribers won’t be seeing in their mailbox this month. Designed by Neville Brody, the nixed covers offer a decidedly clear message in contrast to cover in print. Wanting to “create something subversive…that seems raw and takes time to work through,” Neville whitewashed the magazine’s masthead, leaving readers to puzzle over a cryptic pictogram-style message conveying his feelings about the design profession, pictured after the jump.
