<p>Eschewing the structures and utility of earlier public installations and lighting displays, R.M. Fischer unveiled a series of new, softer sculpture. The New York-based artist&rsquo;s latest work see his mechanical contraption bound with cartoon-like appendages: &ldquo;cut-and-sewn parts suggesting body parts, tattooed, pierced, and adorned with metal amulets,&rdquo; as well as &ldquo;the artist&#8217;s multiplications of orifices, tongues, and other fetishes.&rdquo; Fischer&rsquo;s solo exhibition opens October 29th through December 19th at <a href="http://www.kerryschuss.com/rfex09.html">KS Art</a>, 73 Leonard Street.</p>
