Stephen Colbert to Snoop Dogg: Was Dr. Dre the Doctor Who Prescribed You Medical Marijuana?

Snoop Dogg, last seen kicking it with Mike Tyson and the cast of Jersey Shore, was a guest on the Colbert Report last night, where he explained to Stephen how his being a “stoner” is totally legit because he’s got a prescription from a doctor for his weed. He then performed a new track off his latest record. Read more »

Snoop Doggy Paddle And A Washed Up Madonna

Poster ads out of Cairo by Lowe Egypt for H2O Audio waterproof iPod cases. Snoop’s surfer caricature is totally (sorry) The Shizzle. The Material Girl’s is…yikes!…not at all flattering. As obsessed as Madonna is with her image, this mocking image by illustrator Mohamed Algendy would not please her Madgesty. Maybe her wishy-washy devotion to Kabbalah is in play here? I’m certain the agency didn’t get Madonna’s or Snoop’s permission to use their likenesses in these ads. Ms Ciccone’s legal sharks—move in for the kill! Previously in unauthorized use of music celebrities in ads: Israeli travel agency foresees the death of Sir Paul McCartney. And Amy Winehouse reincarnated as a sheep. |Images: Ad Blog Arabia|

Snoop Dogg Gets Waxed by Madame Tussaud

Yesterday, Snoop Dogg posed with his wax twin at Madame Tussaud’s unveiling in Las Vegas. The weed-loving twitterer is not just the third rapper in the museum’s collection of wax figures, but the only living one as he joins Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur. |Woooha|

Snoop Explains Why He Can Pimp ‘Ho’s’ and Imus Can’t

With many of the media networks spinning the Imus thing back into the face of black America and adding Hip Hop to the mix, Snoop chimed in on the difference between him using the word ‘ho’ and Imus:
“[Rappers] are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports. We’re talking about ho’s that’s in the ‘hood that ain’t doing shit, that’s trying to get a nigga for his money. These are two separate things.”
Plus the media and resulting public’s knee-jerk assumption that rappers should adhere to the same code of conduct and decency as a nationally syndicated and rapidly aging radio personality is not only absurd, but frightening ignorant. Amazingly the media successfully uses it as a media technique to redirect and ignore the real issues, get more ratings, and instead spin this thing even further down the drain than it already is.
