This Saturday at the Brooklynite Gallery: Brooklyn’s Specter and German duo Various & Gould will “Make It Fit” with a labor-centric treatise of silkscreens, portraits and discarded materials. Specter’s cart-pushers and delivery boys take the spotlight in “hand-crafted” and “retro-fitted” medley of found objects arranged. To promote the upcoming ‘Gentrification of Brooklyn’ exhibit at MoCADA, street working artist Specter created a series of hand-painted billboards offering a satirical take on development in NYC’s most populous borough. According to Wooster Collective, it took him two months to create the ads that were installed in Brooklyn.
