“My two dear friends TRIED to get married in NYC at the 181st Washington Heights A train Subway Station,” writes the person who initially uploaded this YouTube video which seemed fishy from the get.

Watch as some some guy, right one cue, interrupts the nuptials just as the priest asks if anyone objects and to “speak now or forever hold your peace.” Amazingly, a bunch of people fell for it.

The “Blessed Event” gag was put on by the Northern Manhattan UP Theater Company and you can see the fully edited video below, complete with the dummies in the crowd.

There’s no denying that rats are a huge problem in the NYC transit system, but a lawmaker’s plan to fine straphangers for eating on the subway and platforms reeks worse of nanny-state politics than the food being consumed out of styrofoam containers. State Senator Bill Perkins is proposing an all out ban and a $250 fine for anyone caught consuming, which is plain stupid, since the problem isn’t food, it’s littering. (Photo: digital_trash/flickr)

A recently uploaded YouTube video shows a subway car brawl on a 4 Train as it makes its way towards Grand Central. Multiples fights break out as one guy clashes with two others as two women go at it.

After some battle, things subside for a few seconds… then the real endearing moment comes when the tougher of the females starts battling one the dude’s who tried to land a knockout on her man. Here’s a little clip from the New York City subway to warm your heart on an icy day. Although we can’t verify it, according to the person who uploaded this footage to YouTube and the emcee featured in the clip, the two musicians performing never met each other. The full account below:

Okay- What you are about to watch is a true New York experience. What originally started out as a typical NYC subway ride (sitting across from guy who smelled like urine) turned into an awesome performance by two people who have never met before. I captured the whole thing on video.

The singer continued with another great song after the entire subway car demanded an encore. Her name is Jessica Latshaw- make sure to check out her music.

This Woman May Be Slightly Racist

I’m not really sure what exactly set this woman off while riding the subway in a recently uploaded YouTube video, but clearly she’s mad and perhaps a bit bigoted as well. At least the lady is an equal opportunity racist. Shots fired … at everyone. Even Occupy Wall Street gets thrown into her xenophobic mix. Talk about uncomfortable commutes.

This video of a man getting lightly beatdown by a self-professed “tranny” was taken down by YouTube yesterday, but as is customary in these types of situations, has been reposted and will likely continue to do so. The person who uploaded the footage explains what went down:

iProducts Are Still a Huge Steal in the Subways

According to a “shocking” new NYPD study, the iPhone is the most stolen device by NYC transit-riding thieves and the Daily News reports that it accounts for “over 70% of all stolen cell phones on subway and buses.”

A few months back, the police said there was a 17% spike in subway crime specifically because of coveted gadgets like iPods, which sounds a lot like this 2005 article, where yet again, the Apple-branded device is tops the list of items criminals would rather take than pay for. So, About That L Train Beat Down Video

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s video of three cowardly thugs group-beating a young man on the L train because he told them they shouldn’t spit in the subway car.

It first appeared on World Star Hiphop, naturally, as this is just the type of footage they relish. One of the young women who filmed the clip can be heard namedropping the website as she and her friends erupt in laughter. CBS News reports that the NYPD is actively looking for the three assailants. Godspeed.
