Air Force One’s Official Terror Flight Gallery

Months after Air Force One’s low-flying photoshoot struck fear in the hearts of New Yorkers, forced White House Military Office director Louis Caldera to resign, and inspired a bunch of Photoshopped fakes, new photos of the flight were released, forcibly. The Pentagon, in response to a Freedom of Information Act request, made 146 shots from the $357,000 photo op public along with related documents. Like the last official Air Force one photo over the Statue of Liberty, they’re all yellowed, so enjoy our color corrected selection below.

After squandering hundreds of thousands of dollars to terrorize New Yorkers with a low-flying photo shoot over Manhattan, the White House isn’t even going to use the new photos of Air Force One. So nobody is stuck using outdated publicity shots, we went ahead and Photoshopped a scene with the Statue of Liberty, as well as a handful of other patriotic or otherwise notable American landscapes in the gallery below.

Apparently Mount Rushmore is a little too passÃ© for the new administration, prompting Monday’s terrifying photo op over lower Manhattan that does, at the very least, interject some femininity and urban style.

Although Monday’s photos of a massive jumbo jet buzzing the skyline near lower Manhattan were chilling, and the WSJ video show an interesting angle on the low-flying Air Force One PR stunt, this reaction shot of people on the ground straight scrambling offers a terrifying perspective. Even scarier: the Feds predicted this would happen and still didn’t say shit.

A low flying, Air Force One lookalike buzzed lower Manhattan today with a fighter jet in tow prompting evacuations of office buildings in the city and in Jersey.
