Art Stolen From Outside LES Gallery


Brooklyn artist MOODY’s Absolute Addict work was stolen rom its outdoor display at the Woodward Gallery on Eldridge Street Tuesday night. The thief was caught on surveillance video and is being investigated by the NYPD for grand larceny, but merciful MOODY says, “I really don’t want to see anyone get into trouble.” He would however like to get his piece back. Seasoned Street Artist Reexplores ‘New Territories’

Over the weekend, flower-painting street artist Michael De Feo opened an outdoor gallery exhibition in the Lower East Side. Continuing his series of self-portraits installed internationally, De Feo unveiled “New Territories,” a series of four paintings on antique maps, his symbolic “way of going ‘all city’ or painting the entire world.” The squiggly installation is on view through December at Woodward Gallery’s Project Space, a rotating street art exhibit across from the 132 Eldridge Street gallery.
