These Smart Street Signs Know Where You Want to Go

Why should signs be stuck in one place, always pointing you to the same thing? Directing you to the Manhattan Bridge doesn’t do much good if the Manhattan Bridge is closed. Recognizing this, the people at Breakfast NY created “Points,” an internet-enabled sign that scours Twitter, Foursquare, and a slew of local data, then decides what you need to see the most and shows it to you. Put Points near a subway station and it will tell you how to get there and when the next train is coming; put it at Governor’s Ball and it will tell you which bands are playing on which stages and when.
