Seeing empty Citi Bike docks is a beautiful thing. It means the program is a success and people are cruising around our great metropolis without polluting. Here’s some photos I shot over a period of week, because finding a dock without any bikes wasn’t as easy as the Daily Newsreported. If it wasn’t for the app that shows real time availability–something the tabloid should have downloaded before it set out to test bike share–it could have taken even longer. This summer may see the holy matrimony of two of the city's biggest transit stories--Citi Bike and the G train. The beleaguered Brooklyn-Queens subway line will see tunnel closures for 12 weekends this year, and to compensate, the MTA is considering adding Citi Bike service to Greenpoint and Long Island City.…
