How did you get your name?
I was named after my great grandmother, her name was Lena London. Beyoncé is also named after her great grandmother’s maiden name.
Why do what you do?
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I really wanted to do on this Earth and crocheting is what I have landed on.
How does your mother feel about your art?
Her advice: Just yarnbomb the Hollywood sign, that’s how you become famous. She is my biggest fan.
Are you making a living off your art? How’s that working out so far?
Sure am, got a little part-time gig but that’s just to keep me young. Going alright, I don’t have heated floors yet, but hopefully soon.
Fuck the art world or embrace the art world?
Ideally I would like to fuck it with a deep embrace.
Do you bring your smart phone into the bathroom with you? Why?
I sure do, because if I leave it on its own it will get kidnapped.
Do you ever feel like giving up?
All of the time, but if I was going to quit it would have happened a long time ago. I am now in too deep. I’m in it for life and that makes me excited and happy 🙂
