Stonewall Inn Patrons Weigh In: What Does Today’s Supreme Court Ruling Mean To You?

June 26, 2015 | Aymann Ismail

#LoveWins. Hours after SCOTUS announced a historic win for same sex marriage, a celebration erupted at the Stonewall Inn, the historic landmark and ground zero for gay rights. Just four decades ago, the NYPD raided this bar because they claimed being homosexual was a crime. Its patrons fought back leading to riots and the birth of the gay rights movement. In honor of today’s victory, we asked the jubilant attendees: “What does today’s Supreme Court ruling mean to you?”
