Björk Retrospective Coming to MoMA

June 18, 2014 | Sophie Weiner

New York’s Museum of Modern Art is planning a Björk retrospective for 2015 that will “chronicle her career through sound, film, visuals, instruments, objects, costumes, and performance.” According to Pitchfork, the exhibition will also feature a new semi-autobiographical narrative written by Björk along with an “immersive music and film experience” created by director Andrew Huang and 3D software designer Autodesk.

Earlier this month, Björk’s Biophilia app, which she created alongside her last album, became the first app to be added to the MoMA’s permanent collection. Serious art cred. The exhibition will be up from March 7th to June 7th of 2014.
