Fashion Week Is Over

February 20, 2015 | Bucky Turco

The weeklong parade of mostly useless clothes known as Fashion Week has come to a conclusion in New York. Like previous years, it began and then it ended. In between those two points of time, there was runway shows, corporate events, and snooty parties. It now moves on to other cities and in a few months from now, this entire process will replicate itself and happen again, but with even more pomp and flair. And with good reason, according to one famed journalist. “Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months,” wrote Oscar Wilde… in 1885.
